International IPA Day is Thursday, August 1st. The IPA style represents the pinnacle of brewing innovation with its broad spectrum of diverse brands, subcategories and regional flavor variations making it the perfect style to galvanize craft beer’s social voice. Hence International IPA Day!

Look for a IPA tap takeover at the Crescent Moon. We will have 20 IPA’s on tap to choose from! We will be giving away samples of Infusion Radial IPA in the Moon.

We have secured a keg of Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse, everyone’s favorite Hoppy “German” beer, to tap in the Huber Haus.

More details of this celebration will be announced. It will be fun, so not to be missed.

Most of you know that Beer Corner USA loves Tallgrass Brewing Company - and we'd like to believe it's not just because of great the beer, awesome brewers, and great owners - but also because of amazing brewery representatives like Kelly Lohrmeyer!

Kelly's been Nebraska's Tallgrass rep for several years now, but she is leaving us and moving on to bigger and better things for Tallgrass, like heading back to her home town of St. Louis and making sure to encourage all those craft beer folks there to try a new brew.

We will be sad to see Kelly leave as we have all come to know her as not just a brewery rep but as a friend. Kelly has traveled Eastern Europe with Beer Corner USA staff, been a familiar face on Beer Corner USA's "Beers of the Week", always ready to host a sampling of new products in Beertopia, and makes sure to never miss a chance to visit Omaha and be there for all of the craft beer fanatics pouring delicious beer for our numerous beer fests across town and spreading the love of Tallgrass beers!

We couldn't let Kelly leave without sending her off in TRUE Beer Corner Style... so join us this Monday, July 22nd, starting at 4pm, for Kelly's Omaha Farewell Party, complete with awesome Tallgrass beers!

We will have six beers on tap and Kelly will be here to not only say good-bye to Omaha, but in true "Kelly Style", also introduce us to our new rep Jake. They will be bringing some brewery merchandise to give out as well, so get here and don't miss the party!!

LINCOLN JAKE'S: Every year Pennsylvania's Weyerbacher Brewing Company celebrates their anniversary with another delicious beer.  For Eighteen they went for a big and bold dark German-style wheat beer called a Weizenbock.

Brewery description: "The 8th installment in the Weyerbacher Anniversary series. Eighteen is a 11.1% ABV Weizenbock with complex bready wheat, dark fruit and chocolate flavors balanced perfectly spicy phenols and banana esters."


5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: So session IPA's pretty much rule.  San Diego's Green Flash Brewing Company knows plenty about making great hoppy beer, and their Citra Session is made to keep you out of trouble while getting your lupulin fix.

Brewery description: "When new and unique ingredients become available we often feel inspired to make a new brew highlighting that ingredient, here we are highlighting a newer hop variety called Citra.  This pale gold Session IPA is brewed with high quality Marris Otter and Vienna Malt but the flavor is dominated by the Citra hop.  100% Citra hop is used to bitter and flavor the brew with additional Citra in the dry hop for aroma intensity.  Citrus notes of lemon, orange and grapefruit are the main traits of the hop with light floral and lemon grass undertones.  The abv at only 4.5% makes this hop laden brew an easily sessionable quaffer.  4.5% ABV, 45 IBU"

Beer Tasting and Silent Auction at Brass Monkey

Brass Monkey Sports Bar will be having a silent auction for the Make a Wish foundation on the deck from 5pm.

We will also have our awesome reps Kris from Johnson Brothers and Leah from Arbella doing tastings of Fruli, Delirium, Aventinus, Monks Cafe, and Sprecher hard root beer floats. Tasting from 7pm to 9pm, silent auction from 5pm to 8pm.

Summer Beer Pairing Dinner at Dario's

Join Dario and the crew July 24th for another celebration of Belgian beer and gastronomy—inflected, as ever, by the passing of the seasons and the changing availability of fresh, local ingredients. We will prepare four scrumptious summer-appropriate courses, each with a beer to match. We have invited our colleague Ryan to discuss the characteristics of each beer style, the reasons for each pairing choice, and Belgian brewing lore generally.

As always, space is very limited, so place your reservation today. The dinner will be held on Wenesday, July 24th at 6:00 in the evening, and will cost $55 per person.
