Jake's Friday Tapping Parties / Lincoln: Tallgrass 8 Bit Firkin Release Party / Omah‏a: Avril by Dupont

Friday (4/13) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: In celebration of the Beercade's opening in Omaha, Lincoln will be getting down with an arcade themed evening, and a dry hopped cask of Tallgrass's newest creation '8-Bit' flowing through the beer engine! We will also be playing classic Nintendo games on the big screen, so dust off you old gaming skills, and hop down for a great night!

Brewery Description: "Just like those classic video games we all grew up with, 8-Bit Pale Ale is spectacularly simple at first glance yet remarkably fun and complex when you get into it. Our Hop Rocket infuses the character of Austrailian grown Galaxy Hops into an American Pale Ale, giving a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style."

5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: Omaha will be tapping one of the greatest session ales every to leave Belgium for our shores, Dupont Avril. A wonderful and refreshing Saison weighing in at just 3.5% ABV. Flavor definitely is not sacrificed for it's drinkability, Avril is bursting with wonderful notes of honey and spices with a bright flowery bouquet.

Vanberg & DeWulf: "Bières de Table are not the heavy hitters Belgium is so famous for—but are central to Belgian beer culture because they are how Belgians learn to appreciate beer. They are typically enjoyed with home-cooked meals at the family dining table. There is no finer example of the style than Avril. USDA- certified organic.

Avril is aromatic like fresh bread, full in the mouth and light on the finish. It is exceptionally flavorful given its low alcohol. Eminently sessionable."

5:30 pm Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)
