Friday (4/27) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: (CASK NIGHT!) Our good friends at Great River Brewery in Davenport, Iowa have blessed us with a delicious dry hopped firkin of their Hop*A*Potamus Rye Pale Ale, Served through the beer engine, don't miss this one-off from one of our favorite breweries.

Brewery description: "Hop*A*Potamus is a double dark rye pale ale made with a ton of pale and six kinds of rye malt for a "full" body. This double dark rye pale ale is fiercely hopped with a Northwest blend for a stampede of flavor and aroma.

BEWARE: Hop*A*Potamus will charge if provoked! Hop*A*Potamus is not for the foolish or the faint of heart."

5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: Omaha will be tapping Castelain Bière de Garde from Benifontaine, France.
A lesser known style traditionally brewed in Northern France, Bière de Garde means "beer which has been kept".

Vanberg & DeWulf decription: "Castelain is the classic example of the rare Blonde Bière de Garde style, and is the biggest seller from the brewery. Castelain has a sweet palate and a great deal of finesse. It is sweet, slightly bitter, grassy and herbal— made with four types of hops. Castelain is conditioned a minimum of 6 to 10 weeks to develop aroma and flavor."

5:30 pm Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)
