New Brewery on the Horizon in Benson

When: Open house -- Sat, Jun 2 beginning at 7:00 p.m. (during Benson Beer Fest)

Where: 6115 Maple St, Omaha (entrance for open house at the back in the alley between 61st and 62nd Streets)

Bill, the owner of the Crescent Moon in Omaha, recently purchased a building Benson for the purpose of opening a small production brewery with a tap room

The project is a work is progress and probably won’t officially open for at least a year.  However they are having an open house on Sat, Jun 2 beginning at 7:00 p.m. to show the public the space that will become the brewery.

There will be free samples of test-batch beer that may end up being produced by head brewer Aaron Bush.  There will also be locally-produced food and beer for sale.

According to a Beer Corner USA employee as I sit here, probably 10-11:00...maybe later. Depends on the crowd.
