Jake's Friday- Lincoln: Empyrean Double Tapping / Omaha: New Belgium Double Tapping

From Jake's Cigars & Spirits:

Friday (3/15) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: We will be pouring two new delicious beers from Empyrean's Carpe Brewem series.  A Nitro Read Ale and a decadent Chocolate Cherry Stout!

Nitro Red Ale- "Dark amber in color this Red ale highlights the flavor of one of the UK’s best malts, Maris Otter – it’s rich bready sweetness and aroma have been gracing English, Irish and Scottish Ale for nearly a century. We complement this flavor base with a touch of dark crystal malt for a toasted caramel character and then add a punch of floral and citrus hops to the finish. Poured with nitrogen gas to yield a beautiful cascading action and creamy rich head. Smooth, rich, creamy and sessionable."

Chocolate Cherry Stout- "Brewed to celebrate Valentine's day and also because we love cherries and beer!  This velvety stout presents with aromas of roast malt, tart cherries and dark chocolate. Big bold roasted like a stout, but sweet and tart, just like your Valentine!"

5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: It's double tapping time with New Belgium!  This time with hoppy treats, we will rolling out Rampant Imperial IPA and Hop Kitchen Hoppy Bock Lager.

Rampant Imperial IPA- "A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma.

The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry."

Hop Kitchen Hoppy Bock Lager- "Meet the first in our new Hop Kitchen series: A German-style springtime lager brewed with rye then loaded with Hallertauer, Perle and Fuggle hops for a spicy, earthy aroma. This Hoppy Bock Lager offers a medium body and slightly sweet malt character perfect for your spring hop-fling."

5:00 Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)
