Lincoln Haymarket Cork & Ale Festival

From the Lincoln's Historic Haymarket District Facebook page:

The Historic Haymarket’s 7th Annual Haymarket Cork & Ale Festival will be hosted at the Holiday Inn Downtown from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday April 19th, 2013. Our superb wine and beer-tasting festival will feature beverages produced by breweries and wineries located all over the state of Nebraska. Participating vendors will be at the event to instruct wine and beer connoisseurs in the science and art of ale brewing and wine fermentation. The festival will serve as a fundraiser for the Lincoln Haymarket Development Corporation (LHDC). Proceeds will allow the Association to install and maintain a community clock.

Son Del Llano will provide the musical entertainment.

This year’s event will include beer samples from Empyrean Brewing Co. (Lincoln), Thunderhead Brewing Company (Kearney), Nebraska Brewing Company (Papillion), Modern Monks (Lincoln), Lucky Bucket (La Vista), Blue Blood Brewing Co. (Lincoln) and Schillingbridge Microbrewery (Pawnee City).

Guests can also sample wines from WunderRosa Winery (Roca), Miletta Vista Winery (St. Paul), Schillingbridge Winery (Pawnee City), Whiskey Run Creek Vineyard (Brownville) and Deer Springs Winery (Lincoln).

As we are focusing on bringing Nebraska products to you, we’ve included a variety freshly created food provided by Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill, Brix & Stone, N-Zone, Buzzard Billy's, Jersey Mike's Subs and Fuehrer’s Cheespred.

A raffle will be added to the event this year. Three raffle prizes will be given away the night of the event; Lincoln Stars Hockey tickets, Lincoln Saltdogs Baseball tickets and “Beer for a Year” from Empyrean.

Tickets for the event are $25 per person. They can be purchased online at www.lincolnhaymarket.org, by calling the Historic Haymarket Association office at 402-435-7496 or in person at The Mill, From Nebraska Gift Shop, or Burlington Antiques prior to the event date. Check out LHDC’s facebook page and become a fan of the Historic Haymarket.
