Jake's Friday- Lincoln: Lucky Bucket Sahti / Omaha: Odell Celastrina

From Jake's Cigars & Spirits:

Friday (6/21) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: We'll have fun tapping an unusual one from our good buddies up the road at Lucky Bucket.  They have gone and made themselves a Finnish-style Sahti ale, and we're gonna a drink it.

Brewery description: "Sahti is said to be one of the first primitive beers. This farmhouse ale's roots date back to the 1500's in Finland, where peasant's would use juniper trees to give the beer its distinct flavor. Lucky Bucket payed homage to this tradition by using hand cut juniper twigs and hand crushed juniper berries in our brewing process, to give our Sahti delicate citrus and herbal flavors that dance on your tongue. Hazy orange in color, this beer used our two row malted barley, rye, and Columbus hops to create this fresh and flavorful brew.  5.8% ABV 20 IBUs"

5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: Well, it's officially hot, which also means it's also officially Saison season.  We are excited to tap a brand spanking new one from Odell Brewing Company called Celastrina.

Brewery description: "Celastrina, or Hops Blue, is a tiny blue butterfly found living on wild hop plants along the Front Range of Colorado. Little is known about this rare species, but we hope to change that. Celastrina Saison pays tribute to this winged creature with delicate hints of banana and clove-like flavor, typical of a traditional Saison, that flutter with a subtle spice character derived only from the hops used."

5:00 Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)

Had the Sahti ale last night at the taproom and it was lovely! Very complex, yet simply refreshing - a homerun from the guys at LB!
