Omaha Beer Week 2014

Their first press release...

-----

OMAHA BEER WEEK RETURNS FOR THIRD YEAR

January 6, 2014 – Omaha, Neb. - Craft beer lovers are getting a special Valentines Day gift as Omaha Beer Week, the metro-area’s premier craft beer celebration, kicks off on Friday, Feb. 14, and runs for 10 eventful days, through Sunday, Feb. 23, in celebration of one of the Midwest’s fastest-growing craft beer scenes.

Now in its third year, Omaha Beer Week will feature over two dozen participating organizations, which include craft beer bars, restaurants, package retailers and breweries. Each organization will feature their own calendar of events, creating a multitude of experiences for Omaha-area craft beer drinkers.

Omaha Beer Week was launched in 2012 to create and showcase the growing trend, not only in the market place, but in peoples’ drinking habits as they search for well-crafted beers throughout Omaha. Since its launch, nearly a dozen new breweries and craft beer bars have opened in the metro area, highlighting just how rapidly the industry is growing.

This year’s participating organizations include, but may not be limited to:

Beertopia  | Benson Brewery | Beyond Golf | Blatt Beer & Table | Borgata Brewery & Distillery | Brewsky’s Food & Spirits (84th and Park Drive) | Brix Midtown | Brix Village Point | Burke’s Pub | Crescent Moon Ale House | Cunninghams | Dundee Dell | Fox and Hound Pub & Grill (120th and Dodge) | Huber Haus German Bier Hall
Infusion Brewing Company | Jake's Cigars & Spirits | Jerry’s Bar | Krug Park Beers, Bloody Marys & Spirits | Lucky Bucket Brewing Company | Nebraska Brewing Company | Old Dundee Bar and Grill | Omaha Tap House | Storz Trophy Room | Max & Joe's Belgian Tavern | Upstream Brewing Company (Old Market) | Wilson & Washburn

This year’s highlight event will once again be the Craft Beer Bus Tour, to be held on Saturday, Feb. 15 from noon to midnight. For a small fee, customers can purchase a wristband allowing them to take shuttle buses to participating locations around Omaha. A full route will be available soon.

New this year will be an Omaha Brewery Bus Tour on Sunday, Feb. 16, which will visit six Omaha-area breweries for a cost of $15. More information will be available as Omaha Beer Week approaches.
