Empyrean’s Barrel Aged Dark Tripel Now Available

From Empyrean Brewing Co.:

Skillfully aged in second and third use bourbon barrels for more three months, Empyrean Brewing Co. announces the release of “Carpe Brewem Barrel Aged Dark Tripel.”

Dark Tripel has mingled aromas fruity Belgian yeast, oak and bourbon, with flavors of toast, pears, bananas and citrus leaf ending in a dry, finish.

“We are excited to present Dark Tripel as our second barrel aged beer packaged in 4-pack bottles for distribution,” says brewery manager Jim Engelbart.

Appropriately named Carpe Brewem (which means, ‘seize the beer’) this line is carefully hand-crafted in small batches with limited availability and distribution. “Buy it when you see it, because this beer will go fast,” explains Engelbart.

A non-barrel aged version of this beer is more widely available on draft.
