Subscribing to Blogs

So I started a poll to see who actually subscribes to this blog, who doesn't and what does it mean to subscribe. Well, I think it is fairly obvious that most people don't subscribe and several people don't even know what that means. I thought this was the case so I will give a quick overview of what this means and why you should do it.

There are these services out there on the internets called RSS readers. Basically what they do is organize all of your news, blogs or websites that you read regularly in one location. They also notify you when a new post has been made so you don't have to go to the site to see it.

I subscribe to probably 20 beer related blogs, some business related blogs, some fun entertaining blogs and some news feeds. So all I do is log into the account and there is all my reading for the day to find out what is going on in the world, and the world of beer.

It really is a pretty cool deal and much better than watching the 6 o'clock news because it is tailored for what you are interested in. Check out Google Reader, that is what I use, but search for RSS readers and you will find a bevy of them.

Be sure to add our blog as soon as you sign up and begin your steps into the blog-o-sphere, as they say.

Here is to a Happy New Year to all!!
