Beer Quest Finalists

No surprise on my end, your humble brewing poster did not make the final cut again, crap. I guess I get to drink my beer now. It looks like a great list of beers and brewers. I have only one question, what in the world is an Imperial Mild Bob? LOL!!

Brian Hoesing – Scottish 80 Shilling
Jim Anciaux – ESB
Joshua Ames – Oatmeal Stout
Bryon Belding – Strong Bitter
Wayne Farris – Oatmeal Stout
Mitch Larsen – Summer ESB
Bob Catherall – Chocolate Imperial Mild
Mark Beatty – Irish Red Ale
Roger Stortenbecker – Chocolate Porter
Gary Bentrop and Brett Hampton – Scottish 60 Shilling

Congrats and good luck to you all. Be sure to get your tickets for this event.

Imperial Mild?

Sounds like something you should ask Ron Pattison about...

LOL! I used to read his blog, he is a very opinionated individually. Funny reference Matt, at least I think it was meant that way. I am sure Bob was having some fun with the naming of that beer and no doubt it will impact the votes, which will be even funnier. I have read a lot of goofing on the Imperial name lately and I think it is duely warranted.

Well, funny is relative. I don't know if its in his blog or not, but there was a pretty funny discussion about this American obsession with "Imperial" beer in cyber space a while back, and Ron was talking about 'Imperial Milds' as the next coolest thing...sort of poking fun at how stupid 'Imperial-whatevers' are...

I could certainly go on and on with this topic...
