Jake's Friday- Lincoln: Old Rasputin XV & Zipline Belgian Pale / Omaha: Nebraska Brewing Melange a Trois

From Jake's Cigars & Spirits:

Friday (2/15) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: We are excited for a double tapping party with two fantastic beers.  One from North Coast Brewing in Fort Bragg, California, and a brand new one from our buddies just down the street at Zipline Brewing Co.!

First off we will be tapping a keg of Bourbon barrel aged Old Rasputin XV!  This is the only keg to come into the state, and you definitely don't want to miss it:

Brewery description: "Every year we age a special batch of our much-loved Russian Imperial Stout in Bourbon barrels. The depth, intensity, and complexity of the flavor profile of this special release, like its predecessors, make it a worthy tribute to Old Rasputin.

Prior to 2010, Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin was released in such limited quantities that it was available only at the North Coast Brewing retail shop in Fort Bragg, California. However, we received so many requests for this beer that we began producing enough Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin to put into broader, but still limited, distribution."

Also we will have a fresh Keg of Zipline's brand spanking new Belgian Pale Ale:

Brewery description: "Zipline Brewing Co.’s early spring seasonal offering is Belgian Pale Ale. This BPA is not your traditional Belgian Pale, infusing the finest contributions from American and Belgian brewing culture. Our BPA combines a group of notoriously citrus-laden American hops (Chinook, Cascade, and Sterling) with a peppery and fruity farmhouse yeast strain. Fermented in the warmer range, this brew finishes tart and dry with an unbelievable smoothness."

5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: It's time to kick off OBW with a gem from our friends at Nebraska Brewing Co.  Going on on tap is the Chardonnay wine barrel aged Melange a Trois.  Oh hell yeah!!

Brewery description: "Previously known as Chardonnay Blonde. Our first beer in the Reserve Series, Melange A Trois begins with a wonderfully big Strong Belgian-Style Blonde Ale and moves into the extraordinary category through an additional 6 month French Oak Chardonnay Wine Barrel maturation. The essence of Chardonnay permeates while a subtle sweetness remains from the Ale itself. Oak tannins combine to create a fascinating mesh of dry, sweet, and wine-like character. One of our favorites!"

5:00 Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)
