KC Beer Fest

For those of you on the eastern part of the state this might be a decent time and something to watch for next year as this is the inaugural event.

The inaugural KC BeerFest will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 1 to 5 p.m. KC BeerFest visitors will receive a commemorative KC BeerFest sampling glass and enjoy four-ounce beer samples from participating breweries. Each brewery will have their own booth and many of the booths are staffed by the brewers themselves. Over 3,000 beer connoisseurs and first-timers are expected to attend this first-year event. Come join us for some excellent craft brews, live music and great food!

Tickets for the event are only $20 each if purchased before October 19 and $25 on the day of the event.

If I wasn't going to the GABF this might be a good time as well as I used to live in KC and have a lot of friends there. I am not sure of holding the first time event so close to GABF but I suppose you have to start somewhere.
