Collabaration Brew

I got forwarded a really cool article on a collaboration brew that involves Nebraska's own Zac Triemert of Lucky Bucket Brewing Co. (aka Upstream, will discuss this in a second.) Sounds like a tasty beer and a cool deal.

BeerAdvocate

Now back to Lucky Bucket Brewing Co., I have been waiting and kind of forgot to seek out the name of the new company that will distribute their bottles of beer. The branding was done, if I recall, to have a greater appeal outside the state and to allow easier selling to local restaurant and bar competitors. It is a pretty fun name, a name is only as good as the beer and we know that won't be a problem. Bottles should start arriving in stores in October.

Upstream is not going away, this is very similar to what Lazlo's did with their beer when they started distributing it. Selling to competeing restaurants and bars in the area, they felt it would be difficult to do so under the restaurant name so they rebranded as well.

Got an e-mail from Zac about a month ago:

FYI: I’ve just ordered the bottling line; we should have 6 packs of Lucky Bucket Amber Lager on the shelves in November. I’m also brewing Lucky Bucket’s first “reserve” type beer next week that will be oak-aged in hand picked Napa cabernet barrels. It will be dark, rich and big; I’m calling it Concentrated Evil for now.

Our website should be operational by October. www.luckybucketbrewing.com

A bit of clarification on Lucky Bucket Brewing Company: this is not related to Upstream Brewing Company. The history goes back to a company that I started with two business partners called Quaff, LLC (to drink copiously and heartily), which we thought was fun; the result was Lucky Bucket Brewing Company and The Solas Distillery.

Jason, Brian and I are excited to begin production and for eveyone to taste our hand-crafted beers and spirits. Please watch for Lucky Bucket beer during the holidays and Solas spirits this spring. Feel free to contact me with questions.

Best regards,
Zac Triemert
