Gottberg Monthly Beer Dinners

Jeremy, the new brewer at Gottberg, sent out a message on Facebook indicating that they will start serving a beer dinner once a month. I hope to make it up there at least once, sounds like a great deal.

Well, even though the winter seems like it might be endless, the fact is that the days are getting longer now and things are looking up, at least at Dusters Restaurant and the Gottberg Brew Pub. Adam, the Chef for the restaurant, came to me a couple of days ago and said he wants to do one beer dinner a month this year; I was more than happy to agree. After the excellent fare he provided for the Oktoberfest beer dinner we had last fall, I am excited to see what other culinary delights he can whip up.

I've attended quite a few beer dinners all over the U.S. and they usually run between $50 - $70 which I always struggled to afford. With this in mind, we’ve decided to make it more a more casual event at a great price. The meal is going to be a 3 course dinner with a beer pairing for each course. All this including tax and tip is only $25.00. It is quite a deal.

The dinners will be the last Friday of every month. The first dinner is January 29th

Social starts at 6:30 and the dinner will start at 7:00PM

The menu will be:

First Course: Roasted Romaine Salad with Strawberry Wheat and Poppy Dressing
Second Course: Gala Apple and Chicken Kiev over rice pilaf with sautéed fresh green beans
Third Course: Chocolate Lava Cake with Stout Whipped Cream

I will wait to match beers until closer to the date in case a newer beer is released that would pair well with the meal.

Remember, this is just the first one of the year. We will be having a beer dinner the last Friday of every month. Reservations can be made by contacting Dusters during business hours and will be taken up until 2pm the day of the dinner.

Also in 2010 look for Cruise Night’s to return this summer, seasonal menu changes where fresh local ingredients are featured, random promotions as we think of them announced only through our email database, new seasonal brews and possibly a cribbage tournament later this winter.

Cheers
