Hops for Harmony

It's that time of year again.  The Hops for Harmony festival will be on Thu, Apr 8 from 5:30 to 8:30.

This is a great fest, for an equally great cause.  The proceeds will benefit the Project Harmony program.  The program's goal is to put an end to child abuse and neglect.

Nearly every Nebraska brewery is represented, not mention several distributors/importers bring their bottled beers.  Food is provided by many local eateries, including the German American Society.  They will also have a silent auction throughout the night for some great donated items.

I have attending the last two years, and both times it was a really pleasant experience.  Not only was the beer a reason to attend, but the food was equally an attraction.  I personally have not been to a similar beer fest...one that offers that selection of beer with all the food you're willing to sample.  The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed.

Here is their website: www.hopsforharmony.com

When: Thu, Apr 8 from 5:30 to 8:30
Where: German American Society (3717 S 120th Street, Omaha)
What: Lots of good beer and food...all for $30 a ticket ($35 at the door)
