Nebraska Homebrewers Shoot-Out

Here is some more information from the South Omaha Brewers email.  The event will take place on Apr 24 for the participating homebrew clubs in Nebraska...

Gents, the 2010 Nebraska Shoot-Out is quickly approaching. I do have some updates, so please be sure to read everything.

You all should hopefully have your own private judging rounds planned amongst your clubs to select the best two from each category.

We have decided on starting the event at 1pm to allow more time to the clubs who have a long journey, and we should be finishing up around 5pm. Please bring all your club members that can make it, and remind them all to bring a dish for the potluck, there are a lot of bragging rights there too!

Again, it will be held at Bricktop, 1427 O Street, in downtown Lincoln (Next door to Yia Yia's pizza). There should be plenty of street parking at meters around the event, but please note that they do ticket on Saturdays. There is a parking garage located on the corner of 14th & P Street that would allow you to park and forget about it.

Driving your entries into Lincoln the day of the event could potentially hinder the clarity and presentation of your clubs entries. If there is interest in having them here before the competition date, I have spoken with our local homebrew shop about being a shipping/drop-off location. Please just make sure to properly label each bottle with the following information:

Club Name:
Brewers Name:
Style:
Additional Ingredients: (For best damn beer only)

Please ship or drop-off your clubs entries in one load April 9th thru April 19th. I will make sure that they are properly stored for the event.

Please let me know if there are any more questions from any of you, I will most likely be sending only one more email before the event. On behalf of the Lincoln Lagers, we are very excited to meet all of you.
