Gravity keg tonight/Friday tapping @ Bricktop

It's go time, Our Franconian gravity keg of Märzen is ready to be tossed onto the bar top and tapped at 5pm tonight. This is one nobody will want to miss, so get here early.

From Beer Advocate "Before refrigeration, it was nearly impossible to brew beer in the summer due to the hot weather and bacterial infections. Brewing ended with the coming of spring, and began again in the fall. Most were brewed in March (Märzen). These brews were kept in cold storage over the spring and summer months, or brewed at a higher gravity, so they’d keep. Märzenbier is full-bodied, rich, toasty, typically dark copper in color with a medium to high alcohol content."

Friday Tapping Party (tomorrow)

We have two awesome beers going on draft tomorrow for the weekly tapping party.

He'Brew - Origin Pomegranate Ale (California)
Brewed with the juice of over 10,000 luscious Pomegranates. ORIGIN is a complex, rich and balanced Imperial Amber Ale with a truly unique character. The only Pomegranate Strong Ale in the country!

and

Gouden Carolus - Cuvée Van De Keizer Blauw (Belgium)
An exquisite and complex Belgian Strong Dark Ale with loads of fig and plumb-like fuity character. I have been working on getting this one in on draft for months, It will be a treat for sure.

ALSO

This coming Wednesday, April 21st, will be a special mid-week meet the brewer/tapping party with Nebraska Brewing Company. Fresh off their recent medal at the World Cup of Beer, Paul is bringing down a special keg of Apricot Saison brewed with peppercorns.
