The Zen Lounge in Lincoln has been doing Tap Tuesday's for awhile now and I know, at least pretty sure, that I have posted them in the past but I have been hit or miss at best. I am going to make a commitment to post them more often and hopefully every week. This weeks beer is Rogue's Hazelnut Brown Nectar. I personally have never had this beer but I have made the clone and if it is anything like my clone it is a fun beer to try and I would definitely give it a gateway beer for those that fear the dark. Rogue's Hazelnut Brown Nectar is a nutty twist on the traditional European brown ale. Hazelnut aroma + rich nutty flavor + smooth malty finish = awesome.
This is the beer that turned me on to "brown ales"-it's been a longstanding favorite of mine for years. The opportunity to try this beer on tap is something I hope you all look forward to as much as I do! See you tonight!
