Wednesday Bottle Party @ Bricktop 'Utah Beer!'

Wednesday will be a very exciting bottle party. We will have the new Utah line-up of beers from both Squatters and Wasatch, as well as the long awaited arrival of Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.

From Squatters will be two beers. The first is Hells Keep, a 7.8% Belgian style Golden Strong (think Duvel). Also will be Hop Rising Double India Pale Ale weighing in at 9%, and exploding with lush American hops.

From Wastach Brewing there will be three winners. The first was plenty famous before it ever got here, and is cleverly named Polygamy Porter. It is a 4% porter which gives double meaning to the question "Why have just one?". Second is a Belgian style Witbier, a great 6% wheat beer with notes of citrus and clove. Last is The Devastator Double Bock, an 8% German-Style lager with notes of caramel and toffee.

And of course, Guinness Foreign Extra Stout. Guinness makes a beer with flavor? Hell yes they do, and this 7.5% treat is responsible for 45% of their sales globally. Thought to not have a place in the US market due to America's affinity for watered down brews, it had not been available until now. This version is filled with complex roasted coffee and chocolate notes that make a stout great.
