This Wednesday will be the Draft release of New Belgium's newest Lips of Faith beer 'Sahti'. For those unfamiliar, it is a Finnish style ale made with Juniper. From the New Belgium website, "Inspired by Finnish Sahti, a traditional rye ale brewed with juniper, our Sahti Ale is a hazy amber ale with a sturdy mouthfeel and a crisp and lively “finnish”. Brewed with Pale, Crystal, rye malts and whole oats, our version is bittered with Cascade and finished with Cascade and Amarillo hops. Juniper boughs are added to the mash and juniper berries, orange and lemon peel are pitched in the whirlpool creating a festive olfactory of citrus and juniper notes."
This will be the first of 3 straight weeks of Wednesday tapping parties.
Next Wednesday, October 13th, will be the 2010 Collaborative Evil release and Meet the Brewer party with
Zac from Lucky Bucket. This year's offering is a delicious Baltic Porter.
The following Wednesday, October 20th, we have a fun night planned with John Campbell from Odell Brewing Company, and the release of the new Odell 'Bourbon Barrel Stout'. Please mark you calendar, and join us for Odell specials all night.
