Fass Fest Part 2 (Huber Haus)

When: Fri, Dec 17
Where: Huber Haus (lower level of Crescent Moon, 3578 Farnam Street, Omaha)

The first one they had last year was great, and this one looks to be even better...

The Franconia region of Northern Bavaria contains the worlds highest concentration of breweries, nearly 300 of them center around the brewing town of Bamberg, a town of 70,000 people and 9 Breweries! Breweries in this area range from large regional brewers to small village breweries that have been in the same family for hundreds of years.

The Huber Haus is fortunate to have obtained five 20 liter fass (fass is the German word for keg) from several different Franconian Breweries. These fass are all traditional gravity fed barrels that will sit on the bar and be poured from a spigot on the side of the keg.  These are very rare German beers from extremely small breweries that do not normally export their beer.
