Two end of year events are still lined up at the Derailleur Tap Room.
First off, this Wednesday (December 29th) will be a bottle party for Klein Duimpje 'Imperial Russian Stout'. This is Dutch brewed 8.5% ABV stout with notes of chocolate, dark stone fruits and molasses. Doors open at 5.
FRIDAY NEW YEARS EVE PARTY! Spend your early New Years Eve with the Modern Monks as we will be hosting the release of a special new beer served on cask through the Monks beer engine. 'Black Beard' Chocolate Oatmeal Stout is a one-off from their Guest Brewer Series in which I recently had the opportunity to brew one of my favorite recipes with the Monks. They pulled off enough to cask condition for the big year end celebration, and the draft version will become available after the new year. We used tons of raw Fair Trade Organic Cacao Nibs, Bourbon-Madagascar Vanilla Beans, as well as toasted oats to create a rich chocolate character with light sweetness and a great mouthfeel. Lets get the night started off right, doors open at 4 as usual.
