> Sat, Mar 26: Our 6th Annual Bockfest, is an indoor/outdoor event. Outdoor hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and indoor hours are 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.  Join us as the Huber Haus and Crescent Moon welcome in spring.  Events highlights include; the blessing and tapping of the Bock Bier, great German food from the grill, a fire pit to keep you warm and to poke your beer, and live music with the Barry Boyce Band.  Free admission, families welcome.

New beers on tap this week at the Crescent Moon

> Boulevard Chocolate Ale is on tap and it is amazing.  A Smokestack Series beer, Chocolate Ale is a collaboration between Steven Pauwels, Boulevard’s brewmaster and Christopher Elbow, Kansas City’s best-known gourmet chocolate chef. It has a warm gold color, aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel with an unmistakable chocolate flavor from the rare cocoa beans brought in from the Dominican Republic added during the brewing process. Be careful it is sooo good but is also 9% ABV.

> New Belgium Ooh La La is a limited release beer brewed for Valentine’s Day.  It is an Ale brewed with raspberry juice. Pours a dark maroon/ brown color with purple head.  Raspberries in the nose and on the palette with a hint of hops and a slightly sour finish 8.5% ABV.

> Sierra Nevada Hoptimum Whole Cone Imperial IPA is back on Thursday, we have just one more keg. From their website; a 100 IBU, whole-cone hurricane of flavor. Aggressively hopped, dry-hopped, AND torpedoed with our exclusive new hop varieties for ultra-intense flavors and aromas. It has a bold and aromatic nose with layers of aggressive hop flavor, featuring notes of grapefruit rind, rose, lilac, cedar, and tropical fruit-all culminating in a dry and lasting finish. 10% ABV

> Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro Dark is dark and delicious has a smooth creamy mouthfeel. Milk stout has been a favorite from Left Hand for many years for its’ sweet, balance between creamy coffee and mild chocolate. Try it on nitro it adds another creamy and frothy, dimension. Very drinkable at 5.2%

New beers on tap this week at Max and Joe’s

> Chimay Triple is an Abbey Triple that is an authentic Trappist beer brewed within a Trappist monastery in Baileux, Belgium. It is golden in color, with a slightly hazy appearance and a fine head. It is characterized by its aroma resulting from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. Flavors include yeast, sweet fruit notes of and raisins peaches and banana followed by some herbal spiciness, a touch of bitterness with a warm dry finish.

New beers on tap this week at the Huber Haus

> Hacker-Pschorr Alt Munich Dark is the essence of dark beers. Dark in color, with a malty nose. The flavor profile is a bit of caramel sweetness, generous flavors of roasted malts yet still well balanced with a clean, slightly hoppy finish. 5.0% ABV
> Weihenstephaner Vitus is a light colored Weizenbock is full bodied with a distinctively great mouthfeel, packed with flavor, aromatic, and pleasant to drink. The flavor profile is lightly fruity, slightly sweet, spicy with some malt and wheat flavors throughout then a bit of hop bitterness on the finish and noticeable alcohol round out this delicious Bock Wheat Beer. 7.7% ABV

> Hacker-Pschorr Munich Gold Lager is back on tap. In Bavaria, where beer is an art form to some and a religion to the rest, Hacker-Pschorr Munich Gold is recognized as the benchmark of the lager style. The Hacker-Pschorr Brewery is known as Bavaria’s Heaven – “Himmel der Bayern.” Hacker-Pschorr’s Munich Gold represents the real thing from one of the oldest breweries in Munich.  The flavor profile: has a nice balance between sweet malt and bitter Saaz hops with a clean finish. 5.5% ABV
