Odell 'Myrcenary' Double IPA Tapping Party @ Derailleur Tap Room
With all the cheese talk as of late, I darn near fogot to post our Friday tapping info, and it is an awesome one! Odell has thrown down the gauntlet on the Double IPA style with 'Myrcenary'. The very definition of a hop BOMB, Odell has packed this 10% ABV nectar of the gods with a huge citrus/tropical fruit punch in the face. This sticky resinous beauty is so new and fresh, there is only one review on BeerAdvocate at this moment.
From the brewery's website "Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway."
While getting down with these hops, don't forget to grab your tickets to the March 4th Cheese & Beer pairing, you do not want to miss this, I promise. Tickets are available at the Derailleur Tap Room in Bricktop for $45, and it will be worth every penny!
