Fox Hole 100 Bicycle Ride (Modern Monks)

photo: foxholetavern.wordpress.com

When: Sat, Jun 11 and Sun, Jun 12
Where: Fox Hole Tavern, 117 W 3rd St, Wilber

From the tavern’s website:

The third annual Fox Hole 100 Bicycle Ride will take place June 11-12, 2011.  The brew of choice this year will be Modern Monks (housed at Misty’s Steakhouse in downtown Lincoln) and we’d like your help in selecting two from the following list: Espresso Stout, Robust Porter, Smoked Bock, IPA, Tripel.  We need one dark and one “light” (read: lighter than dark, not “diet”) beer.  Comment here or on our Facebook post to vote.

The Fox Hole 100 is a (roughly) 100-mile round trip ride from Lincoln to Wilber and back that takes place one magical weekend each year in June.  Registration fees are ridiculously low for all of the following: lunch, dinner and breakfast, SAG support, camping fees, all-you-can-drink beer, a Fox Hole t-shirt and your choice of pint glass or sip sack.

Also, Bolzen Beer Band will be providing live entertainment on Saturday night.  Get ready to polka your lederhosen off!

I did the spring/summer ride last year and it was a ton of fun. (They do one in the fall as well) You can go as slow or as fast as you want - there's no rush or pressure. Dan and is family are super nice and great hosts.
