Help us welcome a new blog writer - Brent Udron!

In an effort to further increase our content to you and keep you further abreast of the goings on in Craft Beer in Nebraska we have added another regular contributor to our "staff", Brent Udron!

Brent has been into craft beer for awhile and been highly involved in the Nebraska scene for the entire time.  Here is a quick bio he wrote up for you guys.  He has wrote some great stuff in the past with The City Weekly and other locations on the web as  you will see.  He is actually a beer writer, as opposed to the ramblings that Nick, Jason, or I post.

Avid craft beer drinker for nearly a decade; my passion for craft beer has largely dictated my career path.  From an enthusiastic beer nerd on beeradvocate.com to a stint as a beer columnist at Omaha’s City Weekly  followed.

In 2006, I was involved in improving the selection of craft beer in Omaha with the opening of Beertopia.  A few years later I spread the gossip of good beer to west Omaha as I ran the beer department at Brix.

When a new challenge presented itself I took my talents across the river to resurrect the Madison Avenue Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits in Council Bluffs, where you can currently find me.  Likewise, you might see me out and about as I am also the Omaha sales rep for Nebraska Brewing Company.

In my downtime you’ll likely find me on the golf course or drinking a tasty craft beer at a local Omaha beer bar.

As you can see, Brent is tied into the beer scene in Omaha and Nebraska and he has the contacts and knowledge to make sure you, the craft beer lovers of Nebraska, stay abreast of the latest events and beers in the area.

So welcome Brent to the blog and know that this will only help increase the spread of information across Nebraska and the country!

Good news indeed! I would say that after taking his classes at Brix last spring is when my interest and appreciation for beer really took off. I also look forward to what he does at the Madison Hy-Vee, convince Bell's to deliver across the river!

What great news, welcome aboard Brent!

Brent is on a different level of beer geek, and the Nebraska Beer Blog is incredibly blessed to have him!
