I am so proud of our fans. The momentum that is building over this issue has amazed me. At this point, I just want to keep the momentum going until the Stormchasers figure out what our fans have: actual local beer and baseball go hand in hand. It is sad that the Stormchasers have bowed down to big corporate sponsorships and are giving no room for the small local guy. They didn't choose their craft beers based on what they think they can sell, it's just what the Budweiser distributor sells. It does not appear to be a business decision because of sales or for the fans, it's just dollars. It's great that they support the huge local companies like Werner, Conagra and Omaha Steaks, but what about the little guys. It's also great that they will include some craft beer - those beers should be represented. But why should Nebraska Brewing Company and Lucky Bucket be excluded?? Our distributor, Premier Midwest Beverage, will be delivering Miller and/or Coors to the stadium. What is the harm if they throw a few cases of Nebraska Brewing Company and Lucky Bucket beer on the back of the truck. Let the fans decide what they will drink. Instead they are letting AB decide. That's too bad. We will keep brewing and supporting our local fans and businesses. That's all we can do. Thanks to all of you that have supported us. It truly means a lot. Cheers, Zac

I find this beer story very funny. I live in Lincoln and worked for Salt Dogs baseball and just heard about this. There is a local brewery in Lincoln, NE that did not have any product at Haymarket Park for over 5 years until the brewery decided to pay of for a sponsorship. No one said a word about them not being there.... Sporting venues are a business. Without this payments from sponsorships including beer and liquor companies these venues would not pay be able to bills and continue to grow. A few thousand people showing up to the games barely cover payroll for these venues. So if you want beer at a venue you need to pay up. These funds pay for so much without them these sporting venues wouldn't make it. Some companies are too small to pay for sponsorships at the end of the day this is a business.
Maybe the Lucky Bucket fans should start a collection to raise money to pay for a sponsorship. Then the Storm Chasers would listen.
Have a free tour before and after every game....and let the fans voice their support during the games by not purchasing the stadium's selection of brews! Cheers to wonderful beer brewed in Nebraska!!
Lucky Bucket has offered sponsorship dollars multiple times. They advertised at Rosenblatt...with the idea that they would be able to do the same at the new park.
But no dice. They were completely shut out by the big distributor...who monopolized the beer sponsorship advertising at the park.
However, they can't monopolize the beer sold, according to NE Law 53-185. So they have Miller Light at one tap.
Long story short, Lucky Bucket did everything they could and was willing to pay as much as they could to be part of Werner park's beer offering.
I like being told what to wear and what to eat. :p Don't you? The corporations know want is best for us. Don't you think?
Martie might be in a God like position but if God doesn't produce well find another God.
