Thanks to the KC Beer Blog we found out some good news today. Boulevard will be expanding by nearly 20% in the next year. They are also adding a Dubbel to their lineup of Smokestack beers while removing Seeyoulater from the lineup. The things that keep coming out of Boulevard continue to impress me and it really appears they are making an effort to reach the hardcore craft beer fans and the intro market alike. That is great news for everyone!

Odd, I took their tour earlier this month and the facts that shocked me the most was that the current system could do up to 600K barrels in a year. Last year they did 150K and this years goal is 155K. I assume the 600K is 24/7 max capacity, but still seemed like low asset utilization. The minor increase in last year to this year was also alarming since many other brewery's are seeing record expansion. The stats could be wrong of course the guide was a volunteer and admitted to prior drinking!

Unfiltered Wheat is 70% of volume Pale ale is 20% of volume
All others = 10%.
