Friday (9/9) tapping parties:
LINCOLN will be tapping a very special keg of 'Oppigårds Stark Porter'. This delicious 5.9% gem was brewed in a tiny wooden building on the 250-year-old Falkeström family farm in Hedemora, Sweden. From the Shelton Brother's website "Oppigårds Stark Porter is a rich, gentle, black porter. Loads of chocolate malt and plenty of aromatic caramel malt provide an abundance of flavors. The hops are in the background but are just as important to the balance of the beer.
This beer won the gold in her class at Stockholm's beer festival in 2008 and 2009."
OMAHA is spreading the delicious barrel love from Lincoln over the next couple weeks. This Friday will be the Omaha release party for Empyrean Brewing Company's 'Four Rose Bourbon Barrel Aged Black Pepper Porter'. A delicious and chocolately 6% porter with subtle notes of black pepper, perfectly balanced with the sweet vanilla and Bourbon character from the barrel. Do not miss this one, and stay tuned for more magic from the barrel next week!

My little brother lives in Sweden and talks about Oppigards all the time. Too bad it is all the way down in Lincoln!
