Calling all blog readers, this is a call to action time. We(Nebraska) could be losing one of the premier beer importers in the country and definitely in this state. Take a look at this list and this doesn't take into account the things they are always working on. You can also just look in your fridge on almost any quality imported beer and see the logo on the label. We definitely need them and want them here to provide us with the diversity we are accustomed to at places like Beertopia.

What can you do? Easy, contact Shelton Brothers, NICELY, and let them know that why you like what they offer and that you don't want them to leave. We can not lose another beer in this state, the bleeding must stop NOW.

EDIT: They have not pulled out of Nebraska completely. They have reduced their offering for the time being. As we learn more and are able to share we will.

At some level you need to look at how poorly RNDC handled Shelton Brothers beers. Also, lets not forgot how much Shelton Brothers beer never came to Nebraska because it was sent to "better markets." Fact. Nebraska never had a change to get most of the really, really rare and beer geeky stuff.
I think you are on too something for sure. While we may have not gotten their "better" beer to begin with do you think that had something to do with republic? They didn't want to have it ruined here? I have faith that this will remedy itself in the future if we let them know how badly we want them here and what they offer. This may end up being a good thing. That is my glass half full feeling. I am beginning to feel that the changes we are experiencing lately will lead to a better situation for us in the future. Just a thought and a hope.
