Nothing beats a good apple pie cocktail. This is my recipe. It has been adapted from several recipes found by searching Google for: Apple Pie Everclear. This is a great drink to enjoy in the fall or with your Thanksgiving celebrations. Makes approximately 2 gallons so you will have some to share! Please enjoy in moderation as this drink will taste great but depending on mix may be rather potent.
Shopping List:
1 Gallon Apple Cider (if possible obtain from a Nebraska City, NE orchard)
1 Gallon Apple Juice (often sold in 1/2 gallon (64oz) containers, buy 2)
1 Container Cinnamon Sticks (buy the cheapest.)
1 Cup Honey (Another great chance to buy local products! I used honey from Louisville, NE)
1 750ml bottle of Vodka (Buy local go with Joss Vodka)
1 750ml bottle of Captian Morgan Spiced Rum
1 750ml bottle of Everclear
1. Put the Apple Cider, Apple Juice, and 5 Cinnamon Sticks in a large pot and bring to a simmer (to cook or cook in a liquid at or just below the boiling point). Save the Apple Cider and Juice bottles you will need them later!
2. Once a constant simmer is obtained add honey and stir constantly until honey is fully dissolved. Continue to simmer for 1 hour.
3. Remove from heat and let cool. Be patient & plan ahead large volumes of liquid may not cool as quickly as one would expect! (if you are in a hurry submerge your pot in an ice bath in a large sink)
4. Once cool you can add liquor. Use the below portions or make your own I prefer Yummy in the Tummy or 3's Company.
Hardly Spiked:
200ml Spiced Rum, 200 ml Joss Vodka, 100 ml Everclear
Yummy in the Tummy:
250ml Spiced Rum, 250 ml Joss Vodka, 200 ml Everclear
3's Company:
300ml Spiced Rum, 300 ml Joss Vodka, 300 ml Everclear

I'm sure it could be mixed even stronger, but at some point the taste is degraded and the outcome is much less memorable.
5. Put the mixed drink back into the Apple Juice and Apple Cider bottles. If you have additional that won't fit start drinking or find a Gatorade bottle as those also work well for storage.
6. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Can be served warm or cold. Enjoy with friends.
If you have your own recipe or other suggestions please let me know!
