Jake's Friday Tapping Parties- Lips of Faith in Lincoln & Mikkeller in Omaha!
OMAHA has a VERY special treat from our favorite Danish brewery Mikkeller, Black Hole Barrel Aged Edition Bourbon! Enjoying a 99 rating on RateBeer, this 13.1% ABV Russian Imperial Stout is brewed with coffee, vanilla & honey. What does Mikkeller have to say about it? Add Bourbon barrel aging to this brewery description:
"Finally……! Black Hole is what Mikkeller is all about. Daring, vulgar and extreme. From the very beginning Mikkellers goal has been to push the limit and with this warming, intense imperial stout, a new chapter in the Danish beer history has been written. The high bitterness from the hops and the sweetness from the malt and alcohol, creates a good balance which makes Black Hole an explosion of nuances, but also leaves a feeling of a perfect and complex beer – in the heavyweight category."

LINCOLN will be getting their share New Belgium's new and delicious Lips of Faith Series beers 'Prickly Passion Saison' and 'Fresh Hop India Pale Ale'.
In case you missed the descriptions last week for the Omaha tapping:
PRICKLY PASSION SAISON- "Prickly Pear cactus and passion fruit mingle together for New Belgium's return to farmhouse ales. Prickly Passion Saison is truly a beer for Belgian inspiration. The combination of passion fruit and prickly pear juices with tropical esters of traditionally earthy Saison yeast create a wonderfully broad and reaching mango-like character. Ostentatiously amber, this Prickly Passion Saison is sure to provoke the palate with a passionate prick."
FRESH HOP INDIA PALE ALE- "A truckload of fresh hops on a midnight run from Washington State to Northern Colorado made it to our kettles just in time. Fresh Hop IPA is a citrus punch of the green stuff: Amarillo, Centennial and Cascade hops straight off the vine. This brazen and deliciously bitter IPA pours deeply golden with the slight haze of a really hoppy beer. The fresh hops poke you right in the nose and the liquid hits your tongue with a sharp blast, finishing light and dry. This is the hop harvest, in a glass, just for you."
