Jake's Friday Tapping Parties/Lincoln: Lucky Bucket Double Tapping /Omaha: Straffe Hendrik Quadruple

Friday (1/13) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: Friday in Lincoln will be a great double tapping party with Lucky Bucket. It will serve as a unique and educational look into the old brewing technique known as "Parti-gyle", which is the process of creating two beers from the same batch of grains. Originally the technique was practiced to allow breweries to create a range of different beers of various strengths, as well as to not waste any sugar extract from the grains. What you end up with is very different tasting beers that started out with the same mash, in this case the boys up in Omaha created a Barley Wine and an American Mild.

Lucky Bucket Barley Wine - this ferocious beer explodes with flavor in the forefront and yet tames itself into an extremely elegant and smooth brew. Its huge sweet body is intriguing with flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla, blackberry, grapefruit, and caramel all battling each other over your taste buds. This isn't a beer to be sipped, but to be experienced!

Lucky Bucket American Mild Ale - this unique brew is reminiscent of an English small beer, however don't let the name fool you because there is plenty of flavor here... Deep amber in color, its delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich caramel sweetness. Our American Mild Ale is as complex as it is balanced, making it a great beer sit around and drink with friends.

OMAHA JAKE'S: Friday will bring warm bellies to Omaha with the tapping of a delicious Belgian beer from the De Halve Maan brewery in Bruges. Straffe Hendrik Quadruple is layered with dark fruit character, and weighs in at 11% ABV.

Commercial description: "Straffe Hendrik Quadruple is a rich and intense dark beer of high fermentation. It is brewed using a subtle mixture of special malts, which give the beer an extremely dark colour and a complex full malt character. This Quadruple combines a pure dryness with a rich fullness, flavoured with just a hint of fruit."
