Jake's Friday Tapping Parties/Lincoln: Lips of Faith 'Cocoa Molé' /Omaha: Great Divide 'Old Ruffian'

Friday (1/20) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: This Friday in Lincoln will be the tapping of New Belgium's newest in the Lips of Faith series. 'Cocoa Molé' is a dark ale filled with chocolate and spice.

Brewery Description: "Chocolate, cinnamon and chilies combine for a sweet and spicy burst of fun in the newest Lips of Faith offering, Cocoa Molé. Brewed with pale, caramel 80, chocolate, dark chocolate malts and healthy dash of chocolate rye, Cocoa Molé presents midnight dark with a subtle reddish hue, lifting a pillowy, burnished head. The cocoa and cinnamon accompany plentiful ancho, guajillo and chipotle chilies to bring the molé merriment to the forefront. Cocoa Molé starts on the tongue with sweet and finishes with the fine-spun heat of peppers. A worldly contrast in a glass, this beer will get you dancing with Mexican Hats. Olé."

5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: Friday will be another belly warmer with the tapping of Great Divide's delicious Barley Wine, 'Old Ruffian'. Rated the 8th best American Barley Wine in the world by BeerAdvocate, it is the top ranked available to us in the Nebraska market.

Brewery description: "Old Ruffian is a hefty, hop-forward Barley Wine. Seemingly mellow at first sniff, with its subtle fruit aromas and complex caramel sweetness, this deep mahogany-hued ale quickly shows its true character marked by bold hop flavors and massive hop bitterness. Old Ruffian’s rich, slightly creamy, caramel malt mouthfeel balances its grapefruit, pine, and floral hop flavors, working wonders on your palate."

5:30 pm Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)
