Another year has passed and that means the blog is another year older. To think that 5 years ago I started this thing is crazy to me. What is even more crazy is where craft beer in this state was at back then and where it is today. I don't think I would have expected to see near the breweries or breweries in the works in Nebraska that we are seeing today. I would venture to guess that there are about as many breweries in the works as there were actual breweries 5 years ago, that is mind blowing.
The other thing that has changed is the access to great beer all over the state. I remember having to drive to Omaha or Lincoln to get good craft beer back then now, even in Broken Bow, I have 3 locations that serve a solid lineup of craft beer and 2 of our restaurants in town have consistently had craft beer on at least one tap and sometimes multiple taps. The access in the cities has changed too and changing more all the time with new tap houses and retail outlets it seems every month. Things they are a changing...
With so much change happening in 5 years we would love to hear what you think the next 5 years will bring in craft beer in Nebraska? We would also love to hear what you want us to do in the next 5 years with this blog. We have some big plans but we may have missed some things too. Please comment and let us know the answers to these two questions.
