The Modern Monks are planning this years Oktoberfest party this coming Monday (8/27) at their downtown Lincoln brewery located in Misty's Steakhouse (200 N. 11th St.). They will be unveiling their seasonal Oktoberfest beer at 5:00, and everyone will be enjoying the live badass polka tunes of the Bolzen Beer Band out on the patio.
From the words of Brother David "Fall is my favorite time of year. The hot, humid dog days of summer are behind us and we get a little break between the lawnmower and the snow blower. Football aside what beckons most are the strong smooth lagers of fall led off by the Oktoberfest. Our version boasts a toasty malt character with a smooth finish that invites you to enjoy another glass. It's hopped enough so the hop heads won't feel deprived but not so much as to be out of balance."
