Nebraska Brewing Company 5th Anniversary week events.

Nebraska Brewing Company’s 5th Anniversary
Special Tappings Daily at 4:00 pm

Mushroom Maniac Cask   Monday, November 12th
We kick off the week with one of our more surprising creations--Wick for Brains
Pumpkin Ale with Candy Cap Mushrooms served from our cask engine. Though
mushrooms may sound like a strange thing to find in beer, Candy Caps offer a nutty,
maple syrup flavor that works amazingly with Wick for Brains. 6.0% ABV, 11 IBU

Eleventh Hour Rye IPA   Tuesday, November 13th
The award winning homebrewed beer that helped our Head Brewer, Tyson, land his job
at Nebraska Brewing became more legendary when first brewed at NBC. The sticky
nature of rye malt turned this brew day into an endurance event—hence the name of the
beer. We’ve had many requests to remake this since 2008, so we’re pleased to offer it
now even in limited supply. 7.3%, 57 IBU

Nebraskadian Black Ale   Wednesday, November 14th
A shared bottle of Iniquity from Southern Tier inspired this dark, hoppy beer. First pilot
brewed as “Hopposition” in 2009, we later introduced this as a seasonal in early 2011.
Nebraskadian is pitch black with hints of chocolate and plenty of bright piney notes
from the Simcoe and Centennial hops. 8.0% ABV, 74 IBU

Press Your Luck Pumpkin Porter   Thursday, November 15th
For no particularly good reason (other than to say we did it), we combined two of the
stickiest ingredients we could think of, pumpkin and rye, into the much loved Blackshirt
Porter. After the difficult brew day, we secretly hoped it wouldn’t taste good enough for
people to request that we brew it again. As it turned out, people loved it and we’ve
brought it back to life one more time for your enjoyment. 5% ABV, 15 IBU

Midnight Ryed   Friday, November 16th
New beers often come from trying out variations of existing styles. Here we adapted the
concept of a Schwarzbier adding some rye for more mouthfeel and utilizing dark roasted
wheat malt for the color and subtle roasty character. All of this is brought together by
wonderful Liberty hops from Willamette Valley. 4.6% ABV, 24 IBU

Nebrakima Glory   Saturday, November 17th
Putting on Great Nebraska Beer Fest has given us the opportunity to try many
outstanding beers. Tyson found a small sample of Yakima Glory from Victory Brewing
especially intriguing and after scribbling down some tasting notes, he set out to craft a
similar beer from memory. The result is a rich and reasonably hoppy brown IPA that
people quickly fell in love with. 7.5% ABV, 50 IBU
