Storz to Debut at State Fair

Storz Beers Make Central Nebraska Debut At Nebraska State Fair on Friday, August 23

WHAT
Storz brand beers will be on tap for their first public appearance outside of the Omaha metropolitan area at the Nebraska State Fair at Fonner Park in Grand Island, Neb.

WHEN
Friday, August 23 – Sunday, Sept. 1

WHERE
The Nebraska State Fair, 700 East Stolley Park Road, Grand Island, www.statefair.org.

WHY
After a 41-year absence, Storz wants to share the excitement of its new beer creations with the public. If beer fans miss out on having a Storz at the Nebraska State Fair, there will be opportunities available soon. Storz will be announcing availability at select bars, pubs and restaurants. Go to www.storzbrewing.com for more information.

NOTES
There will be a limited supply of the brew and a limited selection of the four initial products – lager, wheat, amber ale and pale ale.
John Markel, the great-grandson of Storz founder Gottlieb Storz, and his cousin, Tom Markel, re-launched Storz Brewing Company in May. Storz once produced one-third of the beer sold in Nebraska and was the fourth largest brewer in the country. The brewing giant was sold in 1966 and closed its doors in 1972.
