The Fort Collins-based Saison brewery Funkwerks has been pumping out fantastic Belgian-style ales since 2009. In fact, their beer is so damn good that they won the Small Brewing Company and Small Brewing Company Brewer of the Year award at the last (2012) Great American Beer Festival. That's a seriously big deal.
Us here in Nebraska are lucky to have been chosen the first state outside of Colorado to get distribution. And when you stroll into the Lincoln Jake's this Friday (9/13), you will be lucky enough to try a rare taste of their newest creation, a Belgian-style Quad. Bursting with lush fruit and a solid liquid bread malt back bone, at 11% it is sure to please your belly.
Since we wanted to make this a real Funkwerks event, we decided to invite their White to the party as well. A delicious and crisp Witbier that is perfectly refreshing warm-up to your Quad.
