Brewing Operations Have Begun at Nebraska Brewing Company's New Production Facilities

Nebraska Brewing Company began brewing operations today at their new production facility. See their press release below.
(Papillion, NE) – Nebraska Brewing Company today announces the commencement of operations in a new production brewery located at 6946 South 108th Street La Vista, Nebraska.
Years in planning, the commencement of operations in this facility will provide for the addition of 12 ounce cans to our product line. Additionally, the new facility will provide for efficiencies and economies of scale, not currently possible in our brewpub alone, allowing for these realized costs and benefits to be passed along to distributors in each market. Combined annual production will move from 1,500 barrel (bbl.) to the 10,000 bbl. range.
Nebraska Brewing Company will continue to operate the original brewpub located in Papillion, NE in addition to the new production facility. The production brewery will incorporate a tasting room and retail aspects and will accommodate brewery tours. Initial products planned for 12 oz. cans will be Brunette Nut Brown Ale, EOS Hefeweizen, Cardinal Pale Ale, India Pale Ale and select seasonal beers. All other currently produced beers will continue to be brewed within the Papillion brewpub and will be available in draft only. The four brands heading into cans will have brewing operations transferred to the production brewery which will provide for a return to the innovation we enjoyed prior to reaching our production cap within the Shadow Lake Brewpub over 2 years ago.
Paul Kavulak, President of Nebraska Brewing Company stated: “It’s amazing to think that we’ve gone from a kitchen countertop and have progressed into something that provides jobs, contributes to our tax base, and has become a fixture within the community. We’re very grateful to our fan base and friends who have made this all possible.” Adding, “We’ve been a tiny brewpub acting bigger than we were, today we grow up a bit.”
Kim Kavulak, Vice President of Nebraska Brewing Company added: “Six plus years of hard work coupled with the determination to establish ourselves as a solid member of the brewing world has brought us to this point. Our growth, both past and continued, is a result of the efforts of our team and the support of craft beer lovers, our friends and family.”
Coincident with this increased capacity, Nebraska Brewing Company is entering Iowa, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Arizona through Doll Distributing, Craft Beer Guild Distributing of Connecticut, Legends Limited Distributing, and Quail Distributing respectively. Additionally, with the acquisition of Eldorado Distributing by Craft Beer Guild Distributing of California, the existing California territory will grow to include the Los Angeles market.
Nebraska Brewing Company was formed in November of 2007 and has established itself as a Midwest Innovator of quality Craft Beers and artisanal Barrel-‐Aged Products. Building on a reputation for quality, flavor, and creativity – Nebraska Brewing Company strives to be a stand-‐out in an ever growing field.
