We just received word Free State Brewing in Lawrence, Kansas will be coming back to Nebraska!
They will be distributed by Arbella Distributing. There will be lots of seasonal and one-off beers coming to shelves soon.
We are glad a locally-owned craft beer distributor brought back this brewery. Let’s hope soon the same can be said of others we have lost in the past: Avery, Left Hand, Funkwerks, etc.

Arbella is not a very good distributor. I hope Avery and Left Hand come back with JBROS which they probably will if they come back. Quality is locally owned too fyi
And Free State is crazy if they think they will sell more beer with Arbella after leaving the market for a year. Their main problem with Quality was lack of sales.
Arbella doesn't have cold storage or even buy-back out of code beer. What is so great about that exactly?
I could be wrong, I often am, but someone sounds like a competitor of Arbella's who's smarting after not getting the Free State contract? lol
Hahaha dude Johnson Brothers inability to properly distribute Left Hand is the reason they left Nebraska in the first place. Really doubt they'll roll with them again.
Yeah, it had nothing to do with lack of product being produced. People are crazy if they think any of the big 3 are going to be much different than the other 2. Who even cares about LH, the only beer that would sell at all is Milk Stout. So in that sense they would be a great fit for a lower tier distributor like Arbella.
No, Travis I don't work for a distributor. Again I will ask:
Arbella doesn't have cold storage or even buy-back out of code beer. What is so great about that exactly?
Only one other distributor doesn't buy-back out of code beer. RNDC. But hey at least they store beer cold and ship it cold more than Arbella can say.
You guy's and your blind localism.
About LH leaving because of JBROS NE and not because of pulling back because of increased sales in their home market then explain why they left Alaska, Knoxville TN, Florida Panhandle and the Alabama Coast (Mobile, Iowa, and probably others all around that same time.
Everyone was pulling back in those days because all of a sudden craft started to take off

Furthermore, lol at the idea that anyone from a Nebraska distributor reads this re-post/re-hash "blog". They don't pay attention to this shit.
Well you pay attention and that counts for something, I suppose. ;)
I had to comment because Nick Spies commentary was so asinine ;-)
Let me know when you guy's figure out what is so awesome about no cold storage (so I have been told by people that work there I haven't toured it) and not buying back out of code beer. Looking forward to it.
Also, curious about the implied lie about Quality not being locally owned. Or why that even matters in a country that I thought praised capitalism. Cheers!
I highly doubt Nick was intending to imply that Arbella was the only locally owned distributor in this area.
I don't know why anyone would prefer to use a distributor with no cold storage or doesn't buy back out of date beer (if that is indeed the case), but that's really up to the brewery that chooses to enter into a contract with that distributor. I'm not going to lose sleep over their decision.
Yay! Comments on a post! I wondered if anyone read this stuff. I love we have a hater fan. Just wish I knew who to thank personally.
I will let you know for some swag and a case of free state .
Post more dumb shit like pretending Arbella is a paragon of a distributor and you'll get as many comments from me as you want
Also, lol you "run" this "blog" and you don't even know that Arbella and RNDC don't buy back out of code beer. Blind leading the blind like typical craft blogs/magazines/etc.
Sorry I'm a little late to the party,I'm intrigued by your hatred towards Arbella? Sounds to me like you have two arguments, I'm going to focus on one of them.
Arbella is a company that sells a product to its customers. According to your argument you want to be able to go into a grocery store (a company that sells product to customers) purchase a gallon of milk. You then start to use a portion of that milk, then when you don't use all of it before it expires, you want to be able to return that to the company that sold it to you?
Let me break it down a little bit more in case you don't understand how that corresponds to your argument.
You think Arbella is a bad company because it doesn't buy back out of date product from a retailer. So you must hate Hiland roberts and voice your displeasure with them as well. Let's say a retailer orders milk from Hiland they don't sell it all, roberts should be responsible for the stores inability to sell what THEY ORDERED? By your argument you hate 99% of the company's out there and I hope you choose not to do business with any of them, good luck
I have had dealings with what you refer to as the "big 3" on a retail level, which I'm assuming you mean quality, premier, and j bros. there is nothing like coming into work to find stacks of beer liquor or spirits in your store that you didn't order and won't sell. I can't speak of Arbella as I have never dealt with them. If quality and premier wouldn't do that, they wouldn't have a need to "buy back" product.
Yes I am aware my argument is going to do nothing to change your mind, but if you would like to discuss why bud, and Miller have set a standard of operation that is ridiculous I would be more then happy to.
Lol you are a fucking idiot. Buying back OOC beer is the standard in the beer world. No one was fucking talking about half full gallons of milk shitlord.
Also it's sound like you have some reps you need to lay down the law to. Tell them to stop auto-shipping you bullshit.

Furthermore, just get to work before they deliver and refuse delivery. Problem solved.
You are correct about one thing and one thing only. You won't change my mind about Arbella being garbage.
Most breweries give enough of a shit about their beer that how it is treated is part of the contract they sign with the distributor. For instance, New Belgium requires its beer to be cold from the brewery to the store. This means cold storage and refrigerated trucks. Most breweries require OOC beer to be bought back (a cost often shared by the brewery) because they don't want people drinking old beer and hating it. Especially because many people won't know it's old; they'll just think that brewery makes bad beers.
I apologize for the fucking idiot remark. That was not called for.
