Brix Homebrewer Competition Update

When

March 20 with the judging (a.k.a. sampling) taking place between 2:00-4:00 p.m.

What

• Participating homebrewers can arrive as early as 1pm and no later than 1:30, please. Starting at 2pm anybody interested in sampling/judging will be give two ballots. Each entered beer will be assigned a number and each ballot will have space for entering the beer, you, the judge deems “Best In Show.”

• There will also be space for feedback for the brewer.

• Participating homebrewers need to provide the names and a brief description of each beer they enter (style and ABV is most preferred).

• Homebrewers can enter between 1 and 4 beers each.

• Any method to dispense the beer is fine. We will provide, ice, tasting cups, etc. We do not have tapping equipment or tubs for kegs.

• There is no entry fee.

• The homebrewer needs to pour his own beer (a substitute pourer is fine but Brix will not provide one).

• Any style of beer is acceptable as long as it is a homebrew.

• The winning beer(s) will be announced around 4:30.

Prizes: The winner of “Best In Show” will get the opportunity to have their winning beer recreated on Nebraska Brewing Company’s 10 gallon pilot system and then served at the brewpub!
