Cask night and a new beer blog

A couple things to post today. First Nebraska Brewing is having their first ever cask night. Here are the details.

March 30—First ever NBC Cask event. We will be tapping a Pin (5.4 gallons) of Cask Conditioned Brunette Nut Brown dryhopped with Cascade Hops grown and harvested by our Brewer Tyson. Tyson will be swinging the mallet to tap the cask at 6:00 pm and pints will be $2.00 until the cask runs out.

Simultaneously we will be entertained by Justin Caes from 6-8 pm playing acoustic covers.

This is our first experiment with cask ales, but look for more to come in the future, as we have several ideas in the works (including Lavender, Vanilla Beans, and possible Chili Peppers! (not all in the same beer, silly!)) So show up Tuesday and you can say you got in on the beginning of something cool!

The next item to mention is the Brix in Omaha has started a beer blog and I know I will be watching it and posting some things over here but it would be good for you to follow as well. Here is their link. Brix Blog
