Omaha Bonefish to offer regional brews

Got this today in an email.  Looks pretty good, wish they had more local breweries then just Lucky Bucket but hey, it is a start.

OMAHA AREA BONEFISH GRILL LOCATION GOES REGIONAL WITH HOMETOWN BREWS
‘Big-City Bar’ Ups the Ante With Selections From More Than 300 Craft Beers

OMAHA, NE (September 7, 2010)– Bonefish Grill, the award-winning, polished casual restaurant known for its big-city bar and market-fresh fish, now features regional craft beers on the bar menu in an effort to support Omaha area brewing companies and continue to satisfy its guests’ desires for variety and local experiences.  While selection may vary by location, the extensive list includes more than 300 regional specialty beers.

“The American palate is changing and becoming increasingly distinguished.  Everyone wants choices – evident in the growing available selection of coffee, tea, cheese, chocolate – and now, beer,” said Leigh Merritt, Director of Bar Innovation, Bonefish Grill.  “We are excited to further promote our domestic craft brewers and local breweries wherever possible and make this experience accessible for every guest, every day.”

Nick Muriedas, managing partner of the Omaha Bonefish Grill added, “our area is rich with regional brews, which many residents never have the opportunity to sample.  We are thrilled to give them the chance to experience a unique local flavor.”

For many, the experience of savoring a craft beer is truly special.  Each glass embodies the creativity and passion of its maker – who has worked to combine elements of art, science, tradition and progressiveness, in each sip.  Much like each local Bonefish Grill bartender, today’s small and independent craft beer brewers are individual personalities who work to create beverages that help a guest’s day taste and feel a little better.

Each Bonefish Grill location will include a distinct selection chosen from the more than 300 craft beers.  Among the craft beer selections at the Omaha location are offerings from Lucky Bucket Brewing Co. (www.luckybucketbrewing.com). Many of the brewing companies included in this program are on the Brewers Association’s 2010 list of “Top 50 Craft Brewing Companies.”

“You have to think about your bar the same way you think about your kitchen – celebrate local products and reflect a sense of place,” said Dale DeGroff, author of The Essential Cocktail.  “The beer category boasts stellar regional brews that are not always easy to find; but now, with Bonefish Grill’s craft beer offerings, novices and enthusiasts are able to enjoy these unique brews without travelling far from home.”

The regional craft beer selections at Bonefish Grill locations are available in bottles, cans, or drafts, as well as in 22-25 oz bottles that are ideal for sharing.  For a complete list of offerings and other location specific information, including current specials, visit www.BonefishGrill.com/locator.
