Nebraska Brewing Company Sets Release Date for Barrel Aged Hop God - World Class in Every Glass
Chardonnay character and a minor blending with draft Hop God introduce tremendous diversity into an already complex beer. This Reserve Series Beer was originally bottled in 2009 and represented Nebraska Brewing Company’s fourth entry into an elevated realm of Craft Beers that require great skill, patience, and a little luck. The first experimental bottling yielded only 45 cases while the current release will launch with 114 cases.
This version of Hop God is a fascinating, big, bold Belgian-style Tripel hopped in very high amounts to concentrate citrus, grapefruit and floral aromatics in the nose. The addition of Chardonnay barrel aging adds further dimension and oak tannins to an already wonderfully complex Ale.
Paul Kavulak, President of Nebraska Brewing Company stated: “We’ve discovered that Chardonnay barrel aging complements well made, big Belgian-style Ales beautifully.” He noted further, “We love creating Craft Beers that not only we enjoy but others seem to enjoy as well. This is one of the most difficult beers we create. “
Kim Kavulak, Vice President & General Manager of Nebraska Brewing Company adds: “The draft version of Hop God is an extremely complex beer that is entirely unique. The additional 6 months of barrel aging adds a dimension that makes this a truly remarkable beer.”
Nebraska Brewing Company has set the release date for Barrel Aged Hop God to be Saturday December 4th and will host a release party at 6PM in the brewpub on this date. Barrel Aged Hop God will be available in all markets where our beer is distributed. A complete list of Nebraska Brewing Company brands can be found on our website, www.nebraskabrewingco.com
