Bill from the Crescent Moon wanted us to share this email they sent out last night. Great news! It just goes to show what we can do if we get off our duffs and contact these breweries.
Today Aaron and I met with Dave Duffy, Director of Sales and Marketing for Great Divide along with representatives from Johnson Bros Distributing. Dave had flown in this morning from Denver to survey the market and meet with us as a result of the numerous emails they had received since word was released that they were pulling out of the state. He was in our bar and restaurant for over three hours. As a result of this meeting he has decided that the Great Divide line up will NOT depart the state and in fact they hope to increase distribution in 2011. He said that the emails, our passion for craft beer and our proximity as a neighboring state all played a role in the reversal of his decision. This is truly a great day to be a craft drinker in the state. Nebraska has come along way since we first hung out our shingle nearly 15 years ago and this victory is a true testiment to that. It probably didn't hurt that we had 2 of their great beers on tap and 3 floor stacks in Beertopia.
As icing on the cake...they have agreed to host the Extreme Beerfest Beer Dinner on Feb. 11th at the Tip Top. WOW, that should be fun.

Tickets for the Extreme Beerfest Weekend including the Great Divide Beer Dinner, VIP Fest Addmission and General Addmission Tickets will go on sale Dec 1st at Beertopia and online via E-Tix. This years event should be Fantastic.
I was very bummed to read here that GDB was leaving Nebraska. Then the wife and I walked into Yia Yia's Pizza and they had Hercules Double IPA on tap and there was much rejoicing!!! I have sent them a thank you for staying in Nebraska e-mail.
