Jake's Friday Tapping Parties: Lincoln = Barrel Aged Goodies, Omaha = Mikkeller

This Friday (9/2) will see two separate, but awesome tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's!

LINCOLN will be celebrating Lincoln with two barrel aged beers from our two favorite Lincoln breweries, Modern Monks and Empyrean. The Monks have come correct with a huge Templeton Rye barrel aged Imperial Stout. Huge chocolate flavor and spicy vanilla whiskey notes with a chewy mouthfeel, this beer is Ah-mazing. Empyrean has also stepped right up with a Four Roses Bourbon barrel aged Black Pepper Porter. A superbly well made porter with light pepper notes and just the perfect balance of sweet Bourbon love, and impressive drinkability.

OMAHA will be getting down with a very special Imperial Pilsner from our favorite Danish brewery Mikkeller, cleverly named 'Draft Bear'. Brewery description "a highly hopped and dry hopped imperial pilsner with a light body and lovely crispyness from the lager yeast. A Danish pilsner is typically characterized by an alcohol content of 4,6% vol., piss-yellow colour and a sexless, slightly bitter taste. But it doesn’t have to be like this…! Draft Bear is Mikkellers interpretation of a ’pilsner’, heavyweight-style. With its powerful hop notes, high alcohol content and lovely golden appearance, the only reference to the pilsner style is the clean taste of the lager yeast". RateBeer has this bad boy rated a 99... yes please!

Tapping times:
4:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)
5:00 pm Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)
