Are you interested in learning the benefits of joining a homebrew club? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, you do not want to miss the AHA Learn to Homebrew Day & homebrew equipment swap meet at Misty's Steakhouse in Downtown Lincoln coming this November 12th.
Hosted by the Lincoln Lagers Homebrew Club, this great event will include a demonstration of how to brew beer using 100% malted grain and from start to finish. Get your questions ready, this is a great place to start for introductory information for beginners, as well as information for those homebrewers wanting to move to the intermediate, and advanced procedures.
HOMEBREW EQUIPMENT SWAP MEET! Collecting the equipment needed to start brewing, or to start brewing all-grain, is one of the biggest hurdles for brewers. Buying new equipment can often be expensive, and cut into the ingredient budget. On the other hand, many veteran brewers have more equipment filling up their spare bedrooms than they know what to do with. This swap meet will give you the opportunity to buy, sale and trade brewing equipment essentials.
Learn exactly what joining a homebrew club can do for you and the quality of your beer, as the Lincoln Lagers Homebrew club hosts their monthly meeting at 2pm. Dating back to 1993, the Lincoln Lagers' purpose has been to share ideas and knowledge, thus improving the fun and success of each members brewing experience. The Lincoln Lagers enjoy an active membership of all ages and all levels of experience, from novice to the expert. Members are entitled to monthly meetings, yearly bus trips to locations around the Midwest, participation in the AHA Club-Only Competition, and numerous other events throughout the calendar year. In short, the Lincoln Lagers love learning about beer, and know how to have a good time;)
Come hungry and thirsty! Misty's has a great menu, and equally great beer from the Modern Monks brewery. They will be offering beer specials during the event, and be sure to try one of their incredible barrel aged ales.
