Nebraska Craft and Import Beer Extravaganza will be held April 20-21 2012. Go to their website for more details but here is a little tidbit from their website. This event also benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Hundreds of craft beers from over 50 breweries across the nation will be available for sampling at the Omaha Beer Extravaganza, April 20-21, 2012, at the Ramada Inn Plaza, 72nd and Grover. The Extravaganza starts off on Friday evening, with a Beer Dinner sponsored by Boston Brewing Company from 6 pm to 9 pm. Chefs from Hy-Vee will prepare and serve a 5-course dinner, and each course will be paired with a different types/style of beer to complement the food.
On Saturday, the Extravaganza continues with the Beer Tasting Event from 1 pm to 5 pm. Sample your old favorites and try many new styles of beer from over 50 breweries on hand. Craft beer is made using a traditional process of blending the sugars from malted grains (such as barley or wheat), with hop flowers and water. The skill of the Masterbrewer brings out the desired aroma, color, mouth feel, foam and flavor qualities of the hops and malt.
